Rebecca Glasgow, 2008 Miss Billfish May 23, 2008
It's not hard to tell why Rebecca Glasgow was chosen as Miss Billfish 2008, but behind her beauty lies a woman determined to make her mark in the world of education.Rebecca was born in Vicenzia, Italy, and her family moved to Panama City when she was two years old. She's been a resident ever since. After graduating from Mosley High School she entered Gulf Coast Community College and dabbled in political science, business and criminology before finally settling on history as her major, specifically history education. She plans to pursue a Bachelor then Masters degree in history education at the University of West Florida starting in the spring of 2009. Eventually she would like to obtain a PhD so that one day she can work on an administrative level in a university. In the meantime she works during the week as an administrative professional for the CPA and Investment Management firm of Tipton, Marler, Garner & Chastain, and on some nights and weekends serving at Ocean’s Bar and Grill at Edgewater Beach Resort. With two jobs and school Rebecca doesn't have much time for anything else, but when she does manage to sneak some free time, she travels—she's traveled all over Europe and the United States. And, of course, she enjoys the beach just like any other Floridian! We would also like to thank the Shipwreck LTD for providing the stylish outfits that Rebecca will be wearing during the event. |
